Volunteers




Level II Clearance is required if you are driving students, chaperoning an event when you are not in direct site of a staff member, or working with children outside of the classroom. Level II Clearance passes expire after five years.

How to fulfill your volunteer hours

  • Join the PTO and participate in one of the school community events.
  • Spend time in the cafeteria and on the playground assisting teachers with lunch and recess.
  • Donate your time to teaching an enrichment class.
  • Serve as a reading buddy for a student.
  • Chaperone a field trip.
  • Attend academic events and parent-teacher conferences.
  • Complete your registration forms by the deadline.
  • Complete your Impact Aid card.
  • Supervise and help coordinate a middle school dance.
  • Contact your child's teacher for clerical help you can do from home.
  • Attend PTO or SCS Board Meetings.
  • Come to the Parent Coffee Clatches.
  • Find classroom sponsorships.
  • Shelve books in the library.
  • Serve as a substitute.
  • Help with FSA snack.
