Sigsbee Charter School

The Graduating Class of Sigsbee Charter School chartered new waters with a cultural exchange to Cuba this spring.  Students learned about the Cuban culture, history, government and the arts in anticipation of visiting this neighboring nation.  Though only 90 miles from their home, Cuba is miles apart from our philosophy, government and economics.  It is a world unto itself in terms of the arts and frozen in time.
Students fundraised throughout the year to make the trip affordable for all interested classmates and teachers.  They raised over $25,000!  Twenty students and sixteen chaperones completed the journey over eight days and seven nights.  We would like to thank all of our sponsors and supporters for this amazing experience.  It could not have been more perfect
